For parents, Innerbloom Cafe is not just a great brunch or coffee pit-stop. As there’s a promise of play for the little ones, you can stay longer and really enjoy yourselves. The cafe features a charming kids’ playground in the courtyard out the back, where children can roam around while parents enjoy a peaceful meal.

Four dining tables in the courtyard area allow easy access for kids to come and go between their food and the play equipment, while parents are close by to supervise. Each table can fit 4-5 people, so it’s also an ideal space for larger families or small groups.

Now let’s talk play. The small cubby, plastic climbing frame with slide, cars and trike are on soft astroturf, which is ideal for toddlers, crawlers and pre-school-aged kids to enjoy a good run-around. Imaginations will be nicely nudged as they climb, slide and explore with role play.

Some kids’ books and colouring activities are available too.

There’s space for prams or strollers in the courtyard area. High chairs are available but note that there are no baby change facilities in the bathrooms.

For curious kids, Scienceworks including the Melbourne Planetarium is located just down the road from Innerbloom Cafe, which means you can make a day of it.

There’s also Candied Bakery for specialty breads and sweet treats, Hudsons Road Wine Bar selling wine, beer and deli goods, Mabel & Woods for beautiful fashion, and of course Grazeland with its variety of food and live entertainment – all located nearby.

Don’t forget to stop at the best playground in the area – the recently upgraded Donald McLean Reserve, located just off the West Gate Freeway.
