How To Save Money Shopping Online with ShopBack & Cashrewards Cash Back

As a busy parent these days I spend more time shopping online than I do browsing the shops. Shopping for groceries, clothing, books and household supplies in my pyjamas is the ultimate convenience!

While online shopping can save you time and energy, it can also save you money. I recently learned of ShopBack and Cashrewards and was so excited to discover that these companies offer cashback on lots of brands that I already shop with including eBay, Amazon and Groupon.

That’s right – get cash back from every purchase you make through ShopBack and Cashrewards! I feel like I’m being paid to shop for things I would have needed to buy anyway!

This is not a sponsored post, just sharing my favourite shopping hack! But if you DO decide to sign up to ShopBack and Cashrewards using my referral link both you and I will receive cashback in our accounts.

What is cash back? How do ShopBack and Cashrewards work?

ShopBack and Cashrewards are online shopping portals that you can access on your desktop and mobile app. Transactions that are tracked through ShopBack or Cashrewards give you money back from each purchase.

Shopping on ShopBack and Cashrewards isn’t difficult – it just requires a slight change to the way you normally shop online.  Instead of navigating directly to a retailer’s site, you click through to the retailer via Shopback or Cashrewards website.

The cash back is either a fixed amount or a percentage of the purchase, and there are often special offers available such as upsize cashback or discount off purchases. If you buy during shopping events such as Click Frenzy or Black Friday/Cyber Monday, you can get a great deal AND double-down on your savings with Shopback and Cashrewards. I’ve also bought items with a special offer of 100% cashback, meaning I got them for FREE!

As you make purchases, the savings add up. Once a retailer approves your cashback amount, you can withdraw your cashback balance at any time to your nominated bank account or PayPal account.

To get you started, sign up to Shopback and Cashrewards with my referral link and receive cashback in your account (I get a referral cashback too).

ShopBack vs Cashrewards?

Both Shopback or Cashrewards operate in the same way online, so I shop with a particular site depending on which portal is offering the greater amount of cash back at the time.

Cashrewards cash back

I’ve even installed two Chrome extensions that notify me when a retailer is listed with ShopBack and/or Cashrewards. If both ShopBack and Cashrewards are offering cash back then I just use the Chrome extension to activate the cashback from the site with the best cashback offer, and then the transaction is tracked.

Cashrewards does have one extra feature – you can get cashback on in-store purchases if you link your Visa or Mastercard to your Cashrewards account.

Save money on groceries

Shopping for groceries online is a great time saver for busy parents. You can stick to a list, resist temptations and avoid having to drag your kids up and down the aisles.

Did you know that your groceries savings can be increased with ShopBack and Cashrewards? For instance, purchases from Woolworths attract up to 5% cashback.

Or if meal planning is your least favourite household task, meal boxes such as HelloFresh are also eligible for cashback with Shopback and Cashrewards.

And on those nights where you don’t fancy cooking, you can get cashback on your food delivery. DoorDash, and Deliveroo are all eligible for ShopBack and Cashrewards from time to time, with Deliveroo offering a generous 12.5% for new customers.

And for your furry family members, you can get cashback on purchases from Petstock and Petbarn.

Other stores selling consumables you may want to stock up on include Chemist Warehouse and Dan Murphy’s.

Save money on travel

I love family travel, but the additional flights, beds and food need to be budgeted for now that you’re taking the kids on holiday too.

Tokyo Disneyland

You can book all sorts of travel expenses via Shopback and Cashrewards; flights with Virgin Australia, accommodation with Stayz, Expedia and Hotels.com and even your travel insurance!

Save the cashback towards your next trip!

Save money on home and technology

While I find a new vacuum cleaner far more exciting now than I ever did before, making (sometimes unexpected) household purchases is definitely NOT my favourite way to spend money.

With ShopBack and Cashrewards you can purchase everything from a new Dyson to whitegoods, furniture, bed linen, computers, headphones and other technology, through stores like Adairs, The Good Guys and Freedom.

Save money on gifts, clothing, books and toys

If you are buying gifts for your children, do you follow the old rhyme “something they want, something they need, something to wear and something to read”?

BabyLit

With Shopback and Cashrewards you can buy:

Something they want from Myer, eBay or Nike

Something they need from Rebel Sport, JD Sports or Amazon

Something to wear from The Iconic, Target or ASOS

Something to read from Book Depository or Dymocks

Double your savings with coupons

I love a bargain and that’s why I’m known as the ‘coupon lady’ amongst my friends and family!

Site like Groupon offer cashback with Shopback and Cashrewards. I keep my eye out for any special discounts or upsize cashback to increase my savings.

So if you shop online I recommend checking Shopback and Cashrewards to see if you can get an even better deal. Imagine what you could save your cashback for?  Christmas? Holidays? To treat yourself?
