Shopping centres are transforming themselves into appealing destinations for families and Chadstone Shopping Centre is no exception.

On the Lower Ground Floor, between Kmart and Toys R Us, you will find a series of four timber play pod areas.

They are designed to provide young children (mostly under 5s) with a chance to play, imagine and interact – while their carers have a sit-down!

The pods include a pretend cafe, shop front, digital games, button activated LED lighting, 3D ducks, frogs, dogs and sandcastles.

Rounding out the interactive play are projections on two of the Play Pods, including a fish pond.

The Play Pods are each small and form a trail that you can explore, or just visit one or two. Note that they are not fenced so adults still need to actively supervise.
