If you’re seeing Billionaire Boy at Arts Centre Melbourne these school holidays then make sure you make some time to play at Feast – a free interactive installation by Polyglot Theatre.
The Smorgon Plaza near the box office/cloakroom area is transformed into the Worst Canteen in the World, as inspired by Billionaire Boy.
Using a paper plate and simple craft materials hiding under bain marie lids, kids are invited to create their own delicious (or disgusting!) food dishes.
They can even put it in the fridge or bake it in the oven, before presenting it on the long banquet table ready for the feast.
There are facilitators in aprons and mop caps on hand to assist.
It’s a simple premise but the kids are very engaged. Lady AB is intent on making her food and can’t bear to leave it behind, so luckily you can take your creation home if you wish.
Feast is open 45 minutes before and 30 minutes after Billionaire Boy performances. You don’t have to be seeing the show to participate and the sessions are free and drop-in only.
