Wham Bam Thank You Fam is a family-friendly dance party and Sunday session held at various locations in Melbourne, including Welcome to Thornbury and The Line warehouse event space and Lickety Split bar in Footscray.
The day party for kids is the brainchild of Laneway Festival co-founder Jerome Borazio and Mikey Cahill (DJ Joey Lightbulb). They wanted to put on a fun disco for families, friends and anybody who likes a Sunday session. We are invited the opening party and it’s loads of fun!
The music is a combination of disco, rock, indie and dance that gets young and old rockin’ and groovin’. There are also DJs offering on-the-spot lessons…

…a chill-out space with kids yoga and a drawing wall…
….and a popular board games area if the dark and music are too much for you or your little ones.
Grown-ups can drink, chat and dance knowing their kids are safe a few metres away.
As well as Slice Girls pizza there is a food stand Pierogi Pierogi offering Polish dumplings and each kids ticket gets to sample some Mojo kombucha.
Even better, every child ticket purchased means one adult can get in free.
