A new playground, picnic area with shelter, bbq and drinking fountain and skate park have been constructed in the south-east corner at Price Reserve, on the corner of Beach and O’Connors Roads Werribee South. It’s next to the Werribee South Caravan Park.

Other facilities include a small basketball court, sports oval, public toilets and an old-fashioned milk bar and general store Anglers Anchorage.

The playground is across the road from Werribee South Beach. The beachfront is quiet and still and you can take your bike/scooter along the long winding walking track that runs alongside the beach.

The grassy areas have picnic tables dotted along the way. The only negative is that the sand is very gritty and full of sharp shells, so it’s not really suitable for sand play and I recommend wearing footwear.

In the vicinity of Price Reserve are Werribee Zoo, Shadowfax Winery and Werribee Park, so it makes a great play stop before or after visiting those sites.
