1. Fitzroy Skatepark
For a blend of old and new head to Fitzroy Skatepark. The famed Fitzy Bowl has undergone renovations and added an open flow section alongside the concrete bowls, catering for all ages and abilities.
While they have kept a mix of the old bowls, they have added an extension to the northern end. You can try out the small double bowl and mini ramp that is great for beginners, or larger ramps and bowls for more experienced skaters.

2. Elwood Skate Bowls
In Elsternwick Park, you can find Elwood Skate Bowls
There are two large bowls which are perfect for veteran skaters and riders.Or for those who are fresh to life on wheels, you will find smaller ramps and areas to practise and hone those skills before moving onto more challenging tricks.
Located in the popular Elsternwick Park, there are plenty of facilities including picnic areas, playgrounds and walking trails round the lake.

3. Geelong Waterfront Skatepark
This super cool streetscape skatepark is the gold standard in skatepark design. The locals know it as Waterfront Plaza, and it has the best backdrop against the beautiful Corio Bay.
Jump on some of the most awesome metal edge banks, rails, stairs, and ledges that will really fuel that imagination. With different levels for all abilities, this skatepark is not just aesthetically pleasing.
You can also shoot a few hoops of basketball, listen to some music, or just sit back and watch your friends and family try out the park.

4. Glenroy Skatepark
Drop in on the signature peanut shaped bowl at one of Melbourne’s newest outdoor skateparks.
Perfect for beginners with stacks of ledges and rails to learn the tricks of the trade, this park has all the loops, hills, and steps to get you up to speed. For those who are more advanced, you will even find a looping pump track to get the heart racing.

5. Noble Park Skatepark
With a mammoth 11-foot vert bowl, heaps of ledges and a sweet snake run, Noble Park skatepark is not for the faint of heart.
Located next to the Noble Park Swim Centre, this skatepark offers an epic drop in for more experienced wheels. There are also great facilities with seats, a water fountain, and toilets nearby.
Try your skills at slides and grinding on some of the best ledges that Melbourne skateparks have to offer.

6. Riverslide Skate Park
Run by the YMCA, Riverslide Skatepark has a team on site all year round, and even offers professional lessons for skaters of all abilities.
Featuring a huge amount of surfaces to skate on measuring over 1800m2, this park is one of the biggest in Melbourne! There are also a variety of terrains to cater for everyone.
Overlooking Alexandra Gardens and the Yarra River, Riverslide Skatepark is in the perfect CBD spot. The staff can even get you sorted with the right gear, ready to skate.

7. Box Hill Skatepark
In 2017 the Box Hill Skatepark went through an awesome facelift, and now offers a colourful collection of bowls, ramps, ledges, rails, and a snake-style course!
Beginners can find a separate area to get their confidence and skill level cranking, while more experienced wheels can drop in on one of three bowls or test out the tracks.
There is also a basketball hoop, shade shelters and automatic lighting on site.

8. The Shed Skatepark
Looking for an indoor skatepark? Look no further than the crowd favourite at The Shed Skatepark in Cranbourne East.
This skatepark has been designed by BMXers and skaters, and has a vertical ramp and bowl that are covered in a special surface for a smooth ride. There is also an enormous street course and a Big Air Bag!
Arguably the best indoor skatepark in Australia, The Shed Skatepark also has ample spectator space, a kiosk and retail shop, and caters for all abilities.

9. St Kilda Skate Park
The ever-popular St Kilda Skatepark is in high demand, and has been listed as one of the top 12 skateparks in the world!
This skatepark features a variety of bowls with lots of curves and sloping for the ultimate drop ins and slides. The super smooth surface and open run can make for a super-fast grind, but it does get busy.
Located off Marine Parade, St Kilda, this skatepark is popular with more experienced skaters, and there are some mini bowls as part of the run.

10. Maribyrnong Skatepark
Trying to search for ‘skateparks near me?’ Right near Highpoint Plaza you can find Maribyrnong Skatepark, easily accessible from the tram stop, aquatic centre or the shopping centre.
This local skatepark is a large open plan plaza with rounded rails, ramps, and ledges in a variety of sizes for different abilities. Maribyrnong skatepark is unshaded and there are no water fountains – however it is close to other amenities.

11. Bailey Reserve Skatepark
You may remember it as the Bentleigh East Skatepark, but after an extensive renovation, the new Bailey Reserve Skatepark is now open!
Grab your BMX, scooter, skateboards, or other wheels to try out the super smooth street section with ledges, steps, rails, and humps.
Bailey Reserve Skatepark caters for most abilities, and its impressive transformation features an exhilarating open double bowl with hips, extensions and more for awesome fun!

12. Prahran Skatepark
One of only a few of the iconic steel ramps left in Melbourne can be found at Prahran Skatepark, with its hair-raising 14ft vert ramp!
It has one of the best steel mini ramps in Australia but be warned, it is extra slippery during wet weather. There is also a street-style skate bowl, stairs, rails, ledges, and banks.
Right next door to Prahran Aquatic Centre on Essex Street, it is also accessible from the Prahran train station.

13. Frankston Skatepark
Featuring 3,400 square metres of skating terrain, the Frankston Skatepark is run by the YMCA and offers some of the best facilities for skaters of all levels.
With a large kidney bean shaped bowl between 7 and 12 feet deep, and slick granite pavers on the coping, this vert rips for more seasoned wheels.
There is also a smaller capsule bowl, a large plaza street section with rails, ledges, double sets and more. The best part is it is staffed by the YMCA who will help you with lessons If needed.

14. Baden Powell Skatepark
One of the best destination skateparks in Melbourne can be found in Tarneit at Baden Powell Skatepark, with some of the easiest skate surfaces available.
Finished in 2016, this skatepark features a rad open bowl, ramps and rails and street skating that the locals have come to love. Baden Powell has become a community feature and is in demand as a destination skatepark.
Head on over and try out your wheels on this sublime concrete skatepark.

15. Chelsea Skatepark
Located in Bicentennial Park, Chelsea Skatepark has a load of humps, extensions, hips, an open bowl, and semi-bowls for incredible fun!
Chelsea skatepark has super slick concrete for a perfect ride and the best facilities to practise those colossal tricks in a large and open skatepark.
