Is Bluey a boy or a girl? Is Bingo a boy or a girl?

Bluey is a 6-year-old girl blue heeler dog and so is her sister, 4-year Bingo. But what’s great about the show is that Bluey and Bingo are treated like little kids, not necessarily as little girls.

Who voices Bluey, Bingo, Bandit and Chilli?

Bluey and Bingo are voiced by some of the children of the program’s production crew.

Bluey’s dad Bandit is voiced by David McCormack (the frontman for Brisbane band Custard) and Bluey’s mum Chilli is voiced by Melanie Zanetti.

How many episodes of Bluey are there?

In the first season of Bluey there are 52 x 7 minute episodes. In the second season of Bluey there will also be 52 x 7 minute episodes. Season two of Bluey will start from March 17 on ABC KIDS.

What age group is Bluey aimed at?

Bluey is made for preschoolers, generally kids aged 6 and under. But that’s not to say that older kids and adults won’t enjoy the show and its themes too!

What time is Bluey on the ABC?

Bluey is played on ABC2 (ABC Kids) at 8am with an encore at 6:20pm daily. You can also watch Bluey anytime through ABC iview.

      Teeny Tiny Cafe, Docklands Melbourne

Toddlers and preschool kids are so well catered to at Teeny Tiny Cafe, with so many role-play activities to spark imagination it soon feels like they’re running the cafe themselves! It’s a delightful playhouse where kids can indulge in a variety of fun play areas.

      Teeny Tiny Cafe

Located in the Docklands, this is a bit of a hidden gem. From the street, you might mistake it for just another small coffee shop but once you head in you’ll discover out the back is a spacious indoor play cafe. And it’s one of a kind.

Inside you’ll find a variety of creative play spaces, toys, and activities beautifully designed to stimulate children’s imagination and physical development.

      Teeny Tiny Cafe px

The pastel-coloured theme throughout is pleasant with soft melodic Disney covers playing in the background. I love the use of padded flooring and cushioned equipment to minimise the risk of injuries during playtime, especially for little ones not yet confident on their feet.

Now, get ready for the ultimate role-playing adventure!

      Teeny Tiny Cafe px

Kids can splurge on gourmet groceries, adding goodies like eggplant, cos lettuce, or a whole crab to their shopping basket.

      Teeny Tiny Cafe px
      Teeny Tiny Cafe px

Then, head to the kitchen to cook up a feast. The play kitchen has a stovetop, crockery, sink, coffee machine, microwave, and fridge.

      Teeny Tiny Cafe px

The soft-play tunnel and slide circuit get a real workout from those little legs, while the small cars can be driven around the room and come complete with petrol bowsers to fill up.

      Teeny Tiny Cafe px

Creative kids can stop at the Lego wall for a rainbow of Duplo to build and design anything they desire.

      Teeny Tiny Cafe px

Then there’s the pamper playroom! My kids were captivated by the makeup stations, beanbags, mirrors, and dress-up wardrobe. Little ones can pretend to powder their noses before suiting up for their day of play.

      Teeny Tiny Cafe px

One of the best parts about this whole experience is that parents and caregivers can sit and enjoy snacks, beverages, or a tasty meal and easily keep watch whilst their little tykes play.

      Teeny Tiny Cafe px

It’s comfortable, relaxing, and fun for the adults too!

      Teeny Tiny Cafe px

After enjoying a pretend coffee, cake, and lobster feast, you can order some real-life food and drinks.

Kids’ meal options include pizza, nuggets, spaghetti, or a sandwich, and come with a side of chips and a drink. There’s also a range of tasty bakery items and sweets like waffles, ice cream, matcha cookies, and adorable animal macarons that my kids were just delighted about.

      Teeny Tiny Cafe px

A variety of specialty coffees for the grown-ups are beautifully made and the menu includes some unique options like a purple potato latte or matcha latte. Other delicious Korean-style meals are on offer including bibimbap don, pork char siu, teriyaki chicken, or a wagyu brisket toastie.

      Teeny Tiny Cafe px

The staff are very friendly and attentive. Food can be ordered from your phone via the QR code at your table, which is convenient and fast. They also do a great job keeping the play space clean, tidying up every half hour or so, and doing a full reset after each session time ends ready for the next group to come in.

      Teeny Tiny Cafe px

The entry fee to Teeny Tiny Cafe for kids is $14.50, which includes a children’s meal. For adults there is a $5 entry charge however this includes a coffee or soft drink, which is completely reasonable and ensures you are spending some money to contribute to their small business. Children under the age of two can enjoy free entry.

      Teeny Tiny Cafe px

To get there, kids can enjoy the thrill of a tram ride along Collins Street. Alternatively, street parking is available, or it’s a short walk from Southern Cross train station.
Before or after your visit to Teeny Tiny Cafe, I recommend heading to the very fun Library at the Dock and Buluk Park playground, a short walk away.

Tips for visiting Teeny Tiny Cafe:

      • Opening hours are Tues to Sun, from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm;

Calling LEGO fans! Highpoint Shopping Centre in Maribyrnong is home to Melbourne’s second certified LEGO store, add another location to Westfield Doncaster or the Chadstone LEGO Store where you can shop LEGO everything!

      Lego Shop Highpoint 1

      LEGO Store Highpoint

The standalone Melbourne LEGO shopping centre store at Highpoint is the place to do all your LEGO shopping if you’re based in Melbourne’s west or northern suburbs.

You can source hard-to-find and exclusive LEGO sets, such as the LEGO Christmas sets (the Christmas 2020 Elf House sold out the day the store opened!)…

      Lego Shop Highpoint 16

…the Nintendo console that actually plays…

      Lego Shop Highpoint 4

….and new LEGO sets such as Diagon Alley from the Harry Potter series as well as popular ranges from Star Wars, LEGO City, LEGO Ninjago, DUPLO and LEGO Friends just to name a few.

      Lego Shop Highpoint 5
      Lego Shop Highpoint 6

The Highpoint LEGO store also has interactive elements including two small play areas with low play tables – one with LEGO pieces and one with DUPLO.

      Lego Shop Highpoint 15
      Lego Shop Highpoint 17

As well as a wall where you can build.

      Lego Shop Highpoint 8

There’s a fun augmented reality screen where you can hold a LEGO set and see it assembled and come to life.

      Lego Shop Highpoint 18

And of course, you can’t go past the colourful Pick-a-brick wall, with a rainbow array of pieces for all your building needs. To fill a small Pick-a-brick cup is $14.95, a large one is $29.95.

      Lego Shop Highpoint 13

The kids always hover over the make-your-own minifig station where you can customise three minifigures for $19.99. But here’s a pro tip – the store manager told that in fact, that is the most expensive way to source minifigs. If you collect minifigs like him you’re better off with polybags and small sets like in the LEGO Friends range that contain exclusive minifigs.

      Lego Shop Highpoint 11

I also like the specific ‘Melbourne’ elements they’ve incorporated into the Melbourne LEGO store fitout. Meet the statue of “Christine”, a female Victorian cricketer. The statue is a reference to Australia’s first women’s cricket club which was formed in Victoria.

      Lego Shop Highpoint 10

There’s also a LEGO mosaic of the Melbourne CBD skyline along the Yarra River, along with hot air balloons in the sky that you often spot starting their journey from the west.

      Lego Shop Highpoint 3

As the only LEGO store in Melbourne’s west and north you can expect it to be busy and there are limits to the number of people who can enter at a time. We visit first thing on Sunday and I highly recommend going then as we have the store, and the friendly staff, almost to ourselves.

The LEGO Store Highpoint is a fun retail experience, with lots of ooh and aah moments as you are immersed in all things LEGO.

If you’re thinking of buying lots of LEGO it’s worth joining up to the free LEGO VIP program. For every $1.50 spent, members receive 1 point. Once you reach 100 points, you receive a discount of $7.50 towards your next purchase and you can claim your credit for up to two years. Note it is a separate program to the VIP program on Lego.com.

      Lego Shop Highpoint 14

The Highpoint LEGO shop is situated on Level 3 of Highpoint Shopping Centre, right next to the Apple Store Highpoint and on the level above the children’s playground The Sticks outside the Fresh Food area on Level 2. The closest car park is the car park for the Fresh Food area.
