This brand new, immersive experience of Nathan Sawaya’s iconic LEGO® art exhibition features original collections, over 100 sculptures made from more than 1 million bricks, a LEGO® safari, moving installations, 360° projections, and more.

Exploring the Rainbow of Human Emotions

One of the exhibition’s highlights is the seven lifelike human sculptures, each representing a different colour of the rainbow. 

The Lego art transcends into a deeper exploration of human emotions and creativity.

Experiencing the Exhibition: More Than Just Looking

As well as the LEGO installations and sculpture, The Art of the Brick showcases 360° projections, offering an immersive journey into Nathan Sawaya’s LEGO® art world.

The exhibition’s use of cutting-edge technology, including video mapping and LED light shows, creates an art experience that is both modern and captivating.

The Art of the Brick Tickets

There are two types of tickets: Standard Admission – includes entry to the exhibition and VIP Admission, which includes skip-the-line entry to the exhibition plus a poster.

Children under 4 years old enter for free and you don’t need to buy a ticket for them.

You can also choose ticket add-ons such as: 

  • Make Your Ticket Flex – upgrade to Flex and visit the experience at any time on your selected date (select one Flex add-on per ticket)
  • Photo Add-on – includes a photo on the green screen where you will be able to choose between several LEGO®-related backgrounds
  • Merch Add-on – includes a catalogue of the exhibit, a LEGO® mini figure, a magnet and a bookmark

What is the Art of the Brick?

The Art of the Brick is an innovative Lego exhibition featuring sculptures and interactive installations by artist Nathan Sawaya.

There are over 100 sculptures made from Lego bricks, interactive features, and immersive experiences.

Where is The Art of the Brick located?

The exhibition is showing at the Melbourne Showgrounds. It is inside an indoors, air-conditioned venue. 

Is the exhibition suitable for all ages?

Yes, it’s designed to be enjoyed by both children and adults.

How long does a visit to the exhibition typically last?

Visitors should allocate approximately 1 hour for the full experience.

Is the exhibition accessible?

The exhibition is accessible to all in terms of physical mobility. Prams and wheelchairs are allowed. 

Note that there are strobe lights.

Can photos be taken at the exhibition?

Photography is generally allowed.

Is there food available or can we bring food?

There is no food and beverage available at the exhibition.  You cannot bring in food. 

Is there parking available?

We highly recommend using public transport to get to the exhibition, but there’s parking at the Melbourne Showgrounds through Gate 5 (Langs Road).

How do I buy The Art of the Brick tickets?

Tickets can be bought online via the exhibition’s official website or at the venue, subject to availability. There are standard and VIP tickets available (with skip-the-line admission and a poster):

  • Adults: Prices start from $31.90
  • Children: Prices start from $22.90
  • Children Under 4: Free entry
