Chipmunks Docklands is a staffed indoor play centre located at The District Docklands (formerly Harbour Town) shopping centre. We are invited to their opening week to experience the new centre.

The play centre is tucked away on the corner of Level 1, past ArtVo (you can buy ArtVo tickets here).

When you enter you first get to the onsite cafe. No outside food is allowed in.

The under 4s soft fall area is fenced off to the right and a huge and high jungle gym dominates the rest of the space.

The equipment is much the same as any you’ll see at many play centres, such as a ballpit, slides, monkey bars and more.

Lady AB and Baby 2.0 have a ball crawling, climbing and bouncing.

Little kids may need to be directly supervised as the back of the jungle gym is not within sight of the cafe seating. I’m comfortable with my kids being out of direct sight for most of the time as they are older.

There are also party rooms wtih catering involving Chipmunks branded food theming.

What makes Chipmunks Docklands unique is that you’re allowed to drop off children 5-11  years and leave the play centre for up to 3 hours. You have to stay within the The District Docklands – but what a great opportunity to relax, catch up with friends and go shopping in peace! The ‘drop and shop’ service does cost a little extra and pre-booking is required via 03 9912 1278 or docklands@chipmunks.com.au.
