Landing Playcentre & Cafe is a Bundoora play centre that’s going to wow you – it’s touted to have Melbourne’s biggest ball pit inside!

Landing indoor play centre in Bundoora opened in November 2020 and it’s already a hit with Melbourne families.
The large, space-themed play space is great for toddlers right through to older kids and the highlight is definitely the big slides diving into the giant ball pit.
The rest of Landing play centre is split into three zones.
There’s a dedicated soft play baby space for babies under 2 years old with brightly coloured soft play structures, balls and walls made of foam building blocks.
The play kitchen is perfect for toddlers’ imaginative play and contains tiny appliances, soft felt fruit and vegetables and even a replica SMEG fridge.
You can even go shopping with a miniature trolley in the supermarket and visit the ice-creamery.
For older kids the climbing net suspended above the small jumping castle is lots of fun, and the very steep slide will have your stomach falling with gravity!
Baby 2.0 and Lady AB also enjoy throwing balls at the interactive projected ball game to score points – a great example of technology combined with active play.
In one corner are coin-operated arcade games and rides. The hyper colours and flashing lights are a bit jarring given the lovely pastel aesthetic of the rest of the play centre and I wonder why they’ve been included.
For hygiene purposes kids need to wear socks all the time and adults do too, even if you don’t intend to go on any of the equipment. There are lockers to put your shoes and other items outside the gate before you go in. If you forget your socks you can purchase on site.
I also notice that staff are constantly wiping surfaces and vacuuming the space so there’s attention to cleanliness.
Because everyone is wearing socks when you enter the toilets there are cute animal-shaped slippers to wear (and even an adorable elephant tap for the children’s sink!).
The centre has a capacity of up to 150 people. During the week you can just drop in while on weekends it’s best to book. There are two sessions: a morning session from 9:00am to 12:30pm and an afternoon session 1:00pm to 4:30pm.

Party room bundoora
Landing Playcentre takes bookings for birthday parties and functions in their three adorably themed party rooms – Jungle, Fairy and Explorer.
You can also hire the whole play centre as a private venue from 5pm to 8pm for $700.
Cafe in bundoora
Note that adults need to pay a $4 entrance fee but it is redeemable for a coffee, tea or water. Ask for a proper cup and not a single-use disposable cup and it is presented in a pretty gold-rimmed cup and saucer.
The cafe menu is stock standard, though try the dinosaur nuggets just for fun ($1 each)! No outside food and drinks are allowed, other than water bottles.
The cafe area has comfortable seating with good sightlines of play areas for easy supervision.
