HOT: My Puzzle House, Pakenham

My Puzzle House is a children’s sensory gym and play centre in Pakenham Melbourne that has been designed with inclusion in mind. It is a place where children of all ages and abilities can play and develop social skills, strengthen motor skills, gain support with sensory processing and most importantly, have fun!

Miss 4 and Little Miss 3 love all the equipment at My Puzzle House, as it is so different from anything we’ve experienced before at other indoor play centres.

The foam pit, endless styles of swings and dress-up costumes are hands-down favourites.

Master 1 is spoilt for choice, crawling from one swing to the next, exploring the sensory wall, chasing the rolling tunnel, and flopping into the foam pit in fits of giggles.

But the highlight for EVERYONE (including me) is the sensory room. Cool and dark, with super comfy Noomi bags to relax on, the column of bubbles and floating fish are mesmerising. All of the kids keep getting drawn back in to recharge their batteries.

Therapists have already begun utilising the space to meet and work with their clients. In fact, if you’ve ever visited an Occupational Therapist’s rooms/studios you’ll recognise a lot of the toys and equipment that’s at My Puzzle House.

There is most definitely something here for everyone at My Puzzle House! Miss 4 and Little Miss 3 are begging to go back.

As usual, children must be supervised at all times and the staff at My Puzzle House understand that play time is often the best time for learning – so parents, carers, and specialists are actively encouraged to join in the fun (for free).

Having said that, at least one session host is on the gym floor at all times to guide and assist participants where needed. And these ladies are passionate about what they do! Approachable,  helpful and energetic, Miss 4 and Little Miss 3 love having someone to play with the whole time we are there. And this also gives parents and carers the opportunity to have a rest and coffee at the small cafe on site.

At this stage, the cafe only has drinks, crisps and cookies available, so unlike other play centres, you are welcome to bring your own lunch/snacks with you.

My Puzzle House is open seven days a week and has discounted tickets available online. There is a function room available for parties, group bookings and school excursions, and sensory gadgets are available for purchase from the shop. The owners aim to please and encourage you to contact them with special requests before attending if needed.
