2024 Eynesbury Winter Festival
The free festival is just a quick and easy 40-minute drive from Melbourne, making it a fantastic long weekend or day trip idea for families who are looking to enjoy the winter holidays outside of the city.
This year, the organisers of the 2024 Eynesbury Winter Festival have prepared a jam-packed schedule of fun-filled daily activities and events during the Victorian winter school holidays, which begin on Thursday, 27 June 2024.
Are you up for some Melbourne ice skating? At the centre of the festival is the much-loved ice-skating rink that offers first-time skaters and pro-ice skating superstars 45-minute ice skating sessions, which begin on the hour, every hour.
Don’t own a pair of skates? Don’t worry!
The ice skating rink offers skates for hire, costing around $18 to $26 for kids and adults. However, be sure to bring an extra pair of socks with you to the ice rink, which are a bit thicker than your normal socks to give you more hold, comfort and padding inside your ice skates.Â
Hot Tip: Because the ice-skating rink is much sought after, it is best to book your spot on the ice-skating rink in advance to avoid missing out!
In addition to the ice-skating rink, Eynesbury Winter Festival will also include entertainment such as live music and performers, free kids activities, food trucks, family-friendly movies, reptile encounters, circus entertainers, trivia nights and winter markets.
Starving? Get comfy and toasty by indulging in hearty and delicious winter food and drink specials offered at the festival food trucks and, of course, at the fantastic Ms Peacock.
To top it off, make sure you don’t miss the Eynesbury Winter Festival Winter Solstice. This special event takes place on Saturday 29 June. From 5 pm onwards, it will feature a spectacle of winter festivities, including a big bonfire, fire performers, African drummers & fireworks!
