Note the layout of the playground means that it sightlines are often obscured. The playground is far away from the lake to not be a problem and though it is close to a road it is quiet with calm traffic generally.

The playground is surrounded by enormous trees but is not shaded other than by the structures themselves.

Lake Wendouree is a must-visit for any Ballarat local or visitor and the adventure playground is  very close to the Indigenous Playground (on Windmill Drive) and the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, making it a whole day adventure.
