The winter wonderland is back at The Station Hotel, Footscray!
Dine at their Winter Igloo Garden from June 2024 and enjoy a three-course sharing menu.
While the kids play on the new playground, you can cosy up in an igloo that’s good for two to six people – making it the perfect place for an intimate gathering for couples, friends, or family.

Dining at The Station Hotel’s Winter Igloo Garden means a delicious 3-course sharing feast consisting of an entrée, main and dessert plus a choice of drink on arrival.
The Station Hotel Igloo Dining package is $85pp (minimum 2 people) and includes:
- Drink on arrival
- Three-course Feed Me menu
- Your own private igloo (up to 6 people)
- 2-hour seating times for lunch or dinner
- Kids 2 course menu plus a drink is $35pp
A vegan menu option is available.
If you’re not happy with the options on the Feed Me winter menu, you can choose from the a la carte menu from Monday – Thursday.
Beware – there is a lot of food! The Station Hotel is famous for its steaks, so it may not be the most ideal restaurant for vegetarians, although they do their best to cater to dietary requirements.
Beverage choices include a boozy hot chocolate, Station mulled wine, espresso martini, a schooler of Furphy later or ale or a glass of house wine.
Note at the time of my visit I am able to order a mocktail, which may not always be available as an off-menu item.

Each booking costs $85 per adult and requires a minimum booking of two adults.
You are allowed to stay for a two hour period.
If you’re dining with kids the 2 course kids menu comes with a drink and costs $35pp. Or they can select anything off the a la carte menu, which has some tasty kids meal options.
The kids meals are a bit on the small side for my children so they share my dessert too!
The Station Hotel’s Winter Igloo Garden is open seven days a week, at all times that the hotel is open. So why not treat yourself and your loved ones to a night beneath a sky of twinkling fairy lights in the garden this season.
As there are only a limited number of igloos it’s best to book your igloo ahead of time – weekends are particularly busy but I found good availability for early evening on a weeknight.

Tips for Station Hotel Winter Igloo Garden
- Pram access;
- High chairs are available, though I don’t see them used inside the igloos;
- There are disabled toilets;
- Book a private igloo for 2-6 guests. Igloos are available 7 days per week at all times that the hotel is open.
- Private igloo guests choose from a $69 per person 3-course menu;
- Kids can choose to eat from a la carte menu, which includes the children’s menu where every item is $10;
- Limited street parking available; and
- Nearest train station is Footscray Station.
