For a family of 4 we stayed in a Deluxe Room with 1 king size bed and 2 single beds (or can be made up with 1 King Bed). Note it’s a single room, not an interconnecting room.
Stay in with entertainment from the 40-inch LCD TVs, free wifi and 24-hour on-demand movies (paid subscription required). Note that the TVs haven’t been upgraded to Smart TVs, which means you won’t be able to stream Netflix or other streaming services on the TV.
The Mercure rooms are also comfortable and spacious, with options for King, Queen, or Two Double beds. All rooms feature free Wi-Fi, flat screen TV, safe, and tea and coffee making facilities. The rooms also have a walk-in shower or bath-shower combo.
Note that pets are not allowed at Pullman & Mercure Melbourne Albert Park.
If you feel like getting a sweat up (without the kids) then head to the FIT Lounge for top-of-the-line exercise equipment and weights. The gym is open from 6am daily until 11pm.
During our stay, we found the service to be excellent, with a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Certain rooms feature interconnected spaces eg the Deluxe Room we stayed in had 2 king beds (can be split into 4 single beds). Some of the rooms are accompanied by stunning views of Albert Park.
Splash into Adventure at the Indoor Pool
Take a plunge into the indoor pool, open daily from 6 am to 9 pm. The heated pool provides a balmy retreat any time of the year, along with the same-gender sauna in each of the change rooms and a small heated hot tub spa adjoining the indoor pool.
You can wrap yourself in a fluffy robe from your hotel room and pool towels are provided.
Scenic Delights With The Pullman Albert Park Breakfast
At the hotel’s Windows Restaurant, you can indulge in an extensive breakfast buffet daily Monday-Friday: 6.30am-9.30am and on weekends: 7am-10.30am.
The buffet caters to all tastes and preferences, with a hot food, cold meats and salad options, a large toaster with all sorts of bread products, pastries, fresh fruit and a tea and coffee station. On weekends there are pancakes!
There are beautiful views of Albert Park from the floor-to-ceiling windows, and the calming vista sets the perfect tone to kick off your day of adventures.
The hotel also offers all-day in-room dining if you’ve had a big day of exploring and want to experience a more tranquil dining experience in the privacy of your room.
The menu is similar to that offered by the on-site bar Mortimer’s. There are a la carte options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and you can book room service from your room from 6.30am – 9.30pm with a flat $6 delivery charge. Situated on the doorstep of Melbourne CBD, the hotel offers easy access to the city’s top attractions, with valet parking and convenient access to public transport.

With kids and all the luggage that comes with them, you’ll want a parking spot.
Pullman Melbourne Albert Park offers valet parking services for $45 per day. Alternatively, guests can also choose a self-park option for $25 daily. Self parking rate is per vehicle for single entry and single exit only. Valid for 24 hour period from the time you park your vehicle – access via Lorne Street entrance.
Easy Public Transport
If you decide to leave the car at home it’s easy to get around the local area.
You’re just a short walk to the tram stops on St Kilda Road, which makes exploring the city and south-side suburbs such as St Kilda super easy.
We decided to head into the NGV Triennial exhibition opening and were able to take trams into the CBD easily – eight routes go up and down St Kilda Road.
Nearby Attractions
The hotel is across the road from expansive Albert Park. The park boasts a running/walking track that circles picturesque Albert Park Lake as well as Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre and the Middle Park adventure playground.
Feel like shopping? Iconic Chapel Street is moments away, with the nearest cross street being High Street.
A short tram ride up St Kilda Road from the Albert Park accommodation to the Royal Botanic Gardens offers an excellent opportunity for family picnics and exploring diverse plant life. The same trams will take you into the CBD as well.
