Treat your little one to an unforgettable Le Petit High Tea experience and watch their face light up as they munch on three tiers of sweet and savoury delights. 

Le Petit High Tea has a rotating theme – we’ve gone along for a ‘superhero’ themed children’s high tea which left everyone’s lips blue! 

Plus, every child is gifted a cute Westin teddy bear as a special memento. We call our super-soft teddy bear ‘Posh Teddy’!

Prices start at $55 per child (aged 4 – 12 years)  including hot chocolate, a selection of soft drinks, a range of healthy juices and ice cream spiders and a Westin teddy. Adults can enjoy the seasonal high tea, with a menu that changes according to the season.

If timeless charm is what you seek, The Windsor Hotel is your destination. The Windsor Melbourne holds the distinction of 140 years of Afternoon Tea service.

Afternoon Tea at The Windsor is served on two silver stands – one of ribbon sandwiches and savouries, and the other of delectable desserts, scones and housemade jam.

Afternoon tea includes a flute of sparkling wine or Champagne, and the opportunity to savour the hotel’s specialty teas, including their house blend.

Afternoon Tea is held from midday to 4.30pm, Wednesday to Sunday, and every day of the school holidays. Prices for high tea with kids start at $50 (7-12 years) or $35 (3-5 years) on weekdays.

4. Pan Pacific, Melbourne

Pan Pacific Melbourne offers one of the newest high teas in Melbourne, with a menu blending native Australian, Singaporean and Southeast Asian ingredients.

Pan Pacific’s high tea experience includes a three-tier tower of sweet, savoury, and warm delights, including orange blossom, white chocolate and lavender scone, mini lobster roll, serrano ham croquette, and coconut passionfruit parfait. 

Children’s packages start at $35 with a reduced menu. Until 30 November 2023, they are only offering the Fashion High Tea menu and kid’s prices are $49.

6. Om Nom, The Adelphi Hotel Melbourne 

The moment you step inside the nightclub-y lobby of The Adelphi Hotel, you’ll feel like you’ve entered the coolest hotel in Melbourne. 

Om Nom is the hotel’s cocktail bar and every Saturday and Sunday they host high tea, with a modern twist.

Over a 2 hour sitting, guests are served six savoury delicacies and six elegant dessert creations.  The Om Nom high tea for kids is $59 and includes a chef’s selection of six sweets and savouries with unlimited babycinos, hot chocolates, soft drinks and juices.

High Tea in Style is a luxurious affair at Collins Kitchen at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne

Enjoy a selection of warm scones served with jams, cream and preserves, elegant finger sandwiches, decadent desserts and golden pastries presented on traditional tiered platters. Other highlights include a gelato counter, crepe station and dark chocolate fountain!

8. Lancemore Mansion Hotel, Werribee

Every Saturday and Sunday afternoon at the Lancemore Mansion Hotel Werribee Park, be treated to a lavish spread of sweet and savoury delicacies as well as free flowing Dal Zotto Prosecco. 

High tea is served in the hotel restaurant Joseph’s Dining, overlooking the gardens of Werribee Gardens.

If you want your child to not only enjoy delicious treats but also connect with nature, the Melbourne Zoo high tea is the place to be.

Every month on a Sunday Melbourne Zoo serves a delicious High Tea in the Rainforest Room.

Wander the beautiful gardens, see the amazing animals, then join your friends and family and the little tamarin monkeys for High Tea!  

Your High Tea package includes a selection of savoury and sweet items served with tea, coffee, soft drinks and juice. There are two sittings: a 10am Brunch sitting which is set in a beautiful high tea style and the 1pm Afternoon sitting which includes a glass of sparkling on arrival.

Both High Tea sessions allow guests access to Melbourne Zoo one hour prior to the event.

Children’s tickets are required for those aged 4-12 years old. For children under 4 years, ticket purchase is at the discretion of the adult and whether you feel the menu would be suitable. Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Damon Bradley is a gorgeous cafe in Southbank that regularly hosts high tea.

Designed especially for little ones, Damon Bradley’s Bradley Bear high tea is the perfect way to celebrate a special day with a memorable high tea. It is $59 per child and can only be ordered as part of a group booking.

Each child receives their own stand with ribbon sandwiches, a selection of petit cakes, macarons and chocolate dipped strawberries, scones and a choice of drink. You can even take home a Bradley Bear!

12. Overnewton Castle, Keilor East

Overnewton Castle offers a Melbourne high tea experience that’s like no other!   Explore its grounds or take a tour to discover more about Victoria’s early landowners – all that awaits your arrival!
